Katie Bulova lives with her family in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Never one to adhere to labels or listen to advice, she is a wife, a mom, a stepmom, a student, an advocate, a cook, a gardener. She hates mating socks, putting away silverware in little compartments and scary movies. She happily shares her home with one too many dogs, one larger than life cat, and endlessly growing fish. Before Katie established her art practice, she worked in the Public Health field on healthy community and disease prevention initiatives. Themes of community and family often find their way into her works.
Katie has also lived in New York, Ohio, California, Maine and New Mexico. She feels lucky to be able to weave memories, traditions, and experiences of these homes into paintings, sculptures and textile pieces.
